Emotion in Motion: A Theatrical Experience in Expression
Join actress and writer Noelle Brooks as she takes you through a journey of self-discovery and expression with performance. This course focuses on helping participants get out of their heads and into their bodies, which is key to noticing and experiencing emotions, particularly those that are complex. Theatre offers a fun, creative, and safe space to explore while developing confidence and a sense of self. Students will start with the basics, learning through exercises and games, and will end with a performance of select scenes of their choosing. The goal of this course is to not only help students gain practical skills such as public speaking, but provide a space where they can tackle complex topics and feelings and develop a voice around them.
