Divis Educational Services provides a fantastic way for homeschoolers to socialize, exercise, and experience new places: Fab Fridays! Each session has a meaningful theme for interdisciplinary, often service-oriented activities and a trek away from the building to a nearby park, the library, and/or another community neighbor (public services, museums, charities, businesses, etc.). Participants learn about how their community works, special issues facing the community, and the many opportunities to get involved and serve others.

For the 2025-2026 year, Fab Fridays will often complement the Humanities class in its relevant cultural themes, making it even more suitable for inclusion as part of a core social studies / social science credit or a stand-alone .5 elective credit. See director for guidance.

Participants bring a sack lunch and drink and must dress appropriately for the weather and for walking and be understand that the walk itself is an important component of the program. The walking, which may be around a mile total some sessions, allows for positive socialization, awareness of surroundings, and meaningful full body movement. Participants must adhere to instructor(s) directives and cooperate with all pedestrian street rules.

Fab Fridays tends to appeal to tweens and teens and is potentially not appropriate for those at the elementary ages.
