Divis Ed will travel back to 14th century Verona, Italy! We'll follow the feuding Montagues and the Capulets through their misery as forbidden lovesickness captures their dear Romeo and Juliet. Participants will enjoy learning about The Bard and this enduring tragedy by taking on roles for a dramatic reading together. Participants need no special costumes or props, only a copy of the play itself--and many copies are available through our PINES library system. (Recommended is the No Fear Shakespeare version with updated English aside the original text.)
NOTE: Participants are encouraged (although not required) to join the Mock Trial Club concurrently for learning about civil litigation, as this famous couple will be the ones up for trial in the club during December & January!
